Even triple degree heat couldn’t detract from the gorgeous views and happy hearts at yesterday’s wedding for Jodie and Stoney. The Mt. Hood B&B provided the breathtaking backdrop of Oregon’s favorite mountain along with acres of fields and flowers. Guests beat the heat with parasols, fans, iced tea and mango margaritas. The newlyweds are off to a secret honeymoon before continuing on their mutual career paths in physical therapy. Congratulations, Jodie and Stoney!

Sweet Smiles for the Newlyweds
The ceremony was sweet and from the heart just like the smiles from these little ones. Family and friends helped make the day a memorable one for April and Jeronimo who were married in SE PDX yesterday afternoon. April’s parents escorted her down the aisle and Jeronimo’s sister handled all the decor from candles to satin chair covers. Congratulations to the newlyweds! View wedding photos.
Victorian Dream Wedding
What a perfect choice for a summer wedding!
Linda and Chuck exchanged vows yesterday in the formal gardens of The Queen Anne Victorian Mansion in NE PDX. Filled with charm inside and out, this 1884 national landmark was built for the great-granddaughter of Daniel Boone as a wedding gift from her groom. Romantic treasures grace the mansion which is now a popular event site complete with in-house catering and event coordinator. Congratulations to the newlyweds … enjoy your honeymoon in Italy!
Wedding in the Woods
Sunny skies and lush greenery greeted guests Saturday at the wedding of Whitney and Stephen. Shades of ivory, green and lavender decorated the pavilion at Hoyt Arboretum. The bride took extra care to hand write everything from the program to labels for beverages including white wine sangria and sparkling gin limeade. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Thaxton!
A Garden Wedding
The lush Leach Botanical Gardens in SE PDX proved a magical setting for the Boudreaux wedding yesterday. A teacher at the Art Institute of Portland, the bride wanted the day to “be beautiful” – and it was. Even the rain couldn’t dampen the glow. Using birds and greenery, Cynthia did a perfect job of bringing nature indoors. Delicious Greek cuisine, acoustic guitar and even gift bags for the kids (a great idea to keep them entertained) … a fun and from-the-heart event for all. Congratulations, Cynthia and Ted!

Baking Up A Bridal Shower
What could be sweeter than a cookie baking bridal shower? I was lucky enough to help plan one for last Saturday. After favorite recipes were chosen from cookbooks and guest contributions, the hostess created colorful recipe sheets for each guest as a souvenir of the fun afternoon. Plates, tissue and cell wrap were provided so each chef could create their own fresh-baked cookie package to take home. To keep things organized and flowing smoothly, directions were posted Continue reading “Baking Up A Bridal Shower”
