Family members with roots in three continents celebrated the marriage of Sonja and Javid yesterday at the beautiful World Forestry Center in Portland, OR. The groom’s father was born in Iran and the bride’s father was born in France. The mother of the bride hails from Connecticut and Javid’s mom was born in Louisiana. Alumni friends and family made up the fourteen member bridal party which featured the girls in hunter green chiffon with pink rose bouquets. The guys wore elegant black tuxes with champagne ties and vests. Gifted pianist, Andrew Ross, enhanced the ceremony with heartfelt music. Afterward, guests enjoyed happy hour on the patio followed by a lavish buffet dinner served by Dalton’s NW Catering. The newlyweds will spend the weekend in Portland before returning to their home in Renton, WA. They plan to honeymoon in Iceland next year. Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Yamin! May the joyful energy of your wedding day fill your hearts forever.

Barn Wedding is a Family Affair
Transforming a barn into a wedding wonderland is no small task. But Scott and Valerie pulled it off with flying colors thanks to family members rolling up their creative sleeves. Every inch of space was utilized with no detail unattended. Twinkle light rafters, ceremony riser, hanging flowers, DJ station, photo booth corner and even a golf cart shuttle service. After the ceremony, refreshments were served in the “saloon” while the tables were set up for dining. Heaters and porch seating kept guests dry and cozy while allowing for sweeping views of the Premore family farm in Eagle Creek. Jars of homemade preserves were provided as the “thank you” to attendees who also enjoyed music and dancing into the night. After a honeymoon in the tropics, the newlyweds return to their PDX home to continue growing their business in aquaphonics. Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Wright – may the love that swelled our hearts yesterday be with you always. Fun: I was listed in the program as the “Premore Family Officiant” – I married the bride’s twin sister, Kim, last summer; and her brother, Owen, in 2010. No siblings left … maybe a cousin or two?
Summer Evening Wedding
Traffic jams, road work and car fires were no match for the loving hearts patiently waiting for guests to arrive. The delayed start time only served to make the wedding ceremony that much dearer as family and friends witnessed Tony and Brittney exchange vows. The summer evening celebration was held yesterday at the Fairgate Inn in Camas, WA. Purple, black and white were the colors selected for decor, fabrics and favors. The dinner menu included favorites like salmon roulade and roast pork. Tony, you win the award for calmest groom ever and Brittney, you get the prize for most tears of joy shed during the ceremony. Congratulations to you both and sincere wishes for a joyful life together. You’re off to a great start!
Sweet Smiles for the Newlyweds
The ceremony was sweet and from the heart just like the smiles from these little ones. Family and friends helped make the day a memorable one for April and Jeronimo who were married in SE PDX yesterday afternoon. April’s parents escorted her down the aisle and Jeronimo’s sister handled all the decor from candles to satin chair covers. Congratulations to the newlyweds! View wedding photos.
