What could be sweeter than a cookie baking bridal shower? I was lucky enough to help plan one for last Saturday. After favorite recipes were chosen from cookbooks and guest contributions, the hostess created colorful recipe sheets for each guest as a souvenir of the fun afternoon. Plates, tissue and cell wrap were provided so each chef could create their own fresh-baked cookie package to take home. To keep things organized and flowing smoothly, directions were posted Continue reading “Baking Up A Bridal Shower”

A Bride Says Thank You
“We wanted to thank you for a wonderful ceremony. We are still getting compliments on the wedding. I really wish we had a videographer just so we could hear the ceremony again. It was beautiful and I couldn’t imagine a more perfect wedding. Always, Tyler & Cheren”
It was a joy, Cheren. And how nice to receive your thoughtful thank you note. I love the wonderful photo of you and Tyler being incorporated into the card. Very sweet!

Vineyard Wedding in Forest Grove
The heavy rain held off long enough for guests to make it to the top of David Hill and afforded views of the valley before going inside for the wedding. Dawn and Tom exchanged loving glances and vows in front of friends, family and a cozy fire. The reception included a generous buffet dinner and, of course, wines from the David Hill Vineyards. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Bittler … have a wonderful Maui honeymoon and a joyful life together! View slide show. Continue reading “Vineyard Wedding in Forest Grove”

A Magical Wedding
A soft mist was falling, the evening was balmy, the flowers were blooming and the lights were twinkling – it could have been a scene from a lush tropical island. Instead it was the Oregon City home of Katie and David who were married Friday night. Continue reading “A Magical Wedding”
DREAM WEDDING IN CAMAS
“That was the sweetest wedding ceremony I have ever been to. I love how you made it feel so personal … great job!” Wedding Guest
Like something you dream about, Cheren & Tyler’s wedding today in Camas was perfect in every way. The weather was beautiful, the bride was beaming and the setting was like a fairy tale. Perched on a hilltop like a regal queen, The Fairgate Inn provided an elegant and spacious site for guest lodging, wedding ceremony and reception. Event coordinator, Stacey, kept everything running smoothly and with a smile. Professional sound man, Mike Moore, was great to work with and made sure the music and audio was perfect inside and out. It takes a lot of capable hands to create a seamless event. Today’s wedding was a perfect example. After a tropical honeymoon, the newlyweds will reside in Washougal. Congratulations, Cheren and Tyler, it’s been a joy to work with you … may the laughter and love you shared today continue to grace your new life together. View slide show on next page. Angelic Wedding in Mt. Angel
It was perfect weather in picture perfect Mt. Angel for yesterday’s wedding. The bride wore sequined satin, the bridal party wore blue and the sweet flower girls were dressed in ivory. Rico has known Sylvia since he was 12 years old but he was still a little nervous waiting for his bride to arrive. “It’s a once in a lifetime thing!” he said with a broad smile. The ceremony included the traditional rosary lasso and the unity candle. Rose petals and bubbles showered the newlyweds as they walked down the aisle. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Quintero, and many happy years ahead! View slide show on next page. Continue reading “Angelic Wedding in Mt. Angel”
PERFECT ISLAND WEDDING
As in Hayden Island. A swift wind and planes overhead didn’t detract from a beautiful ceremony yesterday for Marli and Dave. It was a case of Italian meatballs meets Swedish meatballs as Dave is pure Italian and Marli is Scandinavian. And what a lovely combination. In keeping with tradition, guests were treated to an authentic Scandinavian tower cake which is made with marzipan. It’s served by breaking off pieces of the braid until all the layers are gone. Congratulations, Marli and Dave, may your days together be filled with moments of sweetness and joy. View slide show on next page. Continue reading “PERFECT ISLAND WEDDING”
HOTTEST WEDDING ON RECORD!
The mercury hit 100 degrees yesterday as Tony and Kathleen exchanged wedding vows. Persimmon Country Club provided gorgeous views of Mt. Hood but not much shade relief for guests and the wedding party. No matter. Smiles were everywhere and the happy celebration and joy in the hearts of family and friends kept everyone in good spirits. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Lescanec. May the sweet energy you have for each other be with you all the days of your marriage. View slide show on next page.
