A soft mist was falling, the evening was balmy, the flowers were blooming and the lights were twinkling – it could have been a scene from a lush tropical island. Instead it was the Oregon City home of Katie and David who were married Friday night.
Even the rain couldn’t dampen the spirits of the bride and groom who switched gears and worked all afternoon to fit the table arrangements indoors. The deck remained adorned with plants and flowers and white lights. The bride and groom exchanged vows under umbrellas while guests took cover under the eaves. Maybe it was the warm night air or the lights sparkling in the rain but the ceremony took on a magical glow. Perhaps the glow was an extension of the love evident between Katie and David. Together for ten years and partners in business, they have a special ease with each other and with life that is rare and beautiful to behold.
