Looking forward to officiating a wedding on Lummi Island this summer. I’ve done weddings at churches, chapels, museums, vineyards, botanical gardens, restaurants, resorts, forests and urban hotels. I’ve performed ceremonies on beaches, rooftops, golf courses and hillsides. This will be my first wedding on an island. Lummi Island located 25 miles south of the Canadian border is accessible via the Whatcom Chief – a 22 car catamaran departing hourly from Gooseberry Point. The 9 mile island is an artist’s mecca, home to the award winning restaurant (as in best in America) Willows Inn and chef Blaine Wetzel and beloved for its vistas of the Salish Sea. It has a library and a labyrinth but no gas station. Sounds like my kind of place. Watch for wedding photos in June! Aerial view of Lummi Island courtesy of Simply San Juan.
